From Local Favorite to Renowned Dining Destination
Laico’s opened in the 1970’s as a family-owned-and-run bar and pizza-and-pasta restaurant on a residential street on the westside of Jersey City. Our restaurant started out as an unassuming family eatery serving delicious Italian cuisine to neighborhood regulars, professors at the local college, and old-timers who came in for fun conversation and camaraderie. To this day, Laico’s remains on the same street, but now offers world-class food and beverages in beautifully understated dining rooms in a warm-and still welcoming neighborly-ambience. The menu has, of course, been updated and modernized, and our clientele has evolved from neighbors to global citizens. We’ve won many “best of” awards and been included on too-many-to-count “must go" lists. We’re proud to say that we’ve also been written about and given impressive kudos by many local and national media outlets, including the NY Times and Eater.
